Vi har et fælles problem. Og det bliver bare ved med at vokse. Vores have flyder over med plastik, og ingen af os kan se os fri for at bidrage til problemet.
Derfor har Szhirley sammen med kunstneren Mads Hofmann, søsat et nyt projekt: Anti Plastic Club - en limiteret børnetøjskollektion, der støtter arbejdet for at reducere unødvendig plastik og samtidig klæder børn og teens i cool tøj med et vigtigt budskab.
Som smykke-, tøj- og accessorie-designer møder Szhirley dagligt problemstillinger med indpakning, af de varer der bliver produceret forskellige steder i verden.
Vi her hos Dropps By Szhirley gør et stort arbejde for at mindske indpakningen i plastik til et absolut minimum, men det er desværre stadig - selv i et minimalt omfang - nødvendigt at beskytte flere af varerne i plastikemballage, når de bliver transporteret fra udlandet. Det er et problem, vi har en mission og en stor drøm om at komme til livs.

At se, hvordan vi ødelægger havene og dyrelivet med vores forbrug af plast, er så vanvittig trist. Så hvis vi kan være med til gøre børn og unge bevidste om, at vi har et valg som forbrugere - på en cool måde - vil det være fantastisk.
20 % af overskuddet fra salget af Anti Plastic Club går til den danske organisation Plastic Change, en dansk miljøorganisation, der arbejder for at mindske produktionen og forbruget af plastik, ved at engagere borgere, politikere og erhvervslivet til at finde nye løsninger.
